Born in Barcelona, based in London, Albert Pellicer is a poet and a free-lance journalist. He has a BA in Creative Writing from Antioch University and received an MA in Poetic Practice at the Royal Holloway University of London.

He has performed at various locations in the UK, including the E-poetry conference 2005 at Birkbeck University and has taken part in 2006 at the Festival de Polipoesia- Barcelona, Festival de Cyberpoetry -Barcelona,II International Festival Video Poetry - Buenos Aires Argentina and Aix-En Provence, France. Has worked in Creative Partnerships promoting poetical activity such as “Once a Pond a Time”, a project with the Slough Science Museum and Parlaunt Park School. His lenticular poem Para–graph was displayed at the Public Page  - an exhibition of visual text in association with poetry and public language organized by Dartington College. His poems have also appeared on buses through  “Poems on the Bus”. Has collaborated with soundscape artist Ximena Alarcón (The Fumigation of La Luna) and with musician Mark Matsena (Journey to Day).

He is currently involved in the organization of the Indigenous Film and Video Festival of the Three Americas, Native Spirit, and is working on the project “Our Voices Rising” aerial poems, that has received the backing of UnLtd Millennium Awards to run group poetry writing sessions at different institutions to compose and share a poetic message with the wider community.

Albert Pellicer’s work is a research into the poetics of space and the in-betweeness of textual and sonic expression. His approach to poetry making is informed by the weaving of sound and narratives as well as bearing a deep appreciation for indigenous cultures.
